Identifying features Upper body green or electric blue, or combinations, lower body gold or electric silver. Maximum weight (males are heaviest) up to 45 kg (100 Ib). Expected temperature range 20°C-30°C (68°F-86°F). Fishing methodsTrolling dead natural bait - ballyhoo (garfish), mullet, chub mackerel, squid, bonefish. Trolling strip baits often in combination with plastic skirts, or squid or feather jigs. Troiling lures, hard and soft plastic, knuckleheads, minnows, spoons, poppers. Drifting with small live bait, often with churu. Casting small metal lures, minnows and poppers. Fly casting around logs and weed lines. Eating quality excellent, fresh or frozen. | ||||||
